Geometric qualities from parametric studies are developed into a workshop and gallery space. Inner and outer shells of the building are created using a process of conscious subtraction from a mass within a set of parameters. The studio is designed for a bespoke furniture maker who specializes in curvilinear, outdoor furniture intended to weather so much of the lot is devoted to exterior gallery space. The pre-patina copper outer shell of the building weathers alongside the furniture.
